What a show last night at the Hard Rock in Sioux City! It was the Rockzilla Tour, rollin’ into town featuring Papa Roach, Falling In Reverse, Hollywood Undead & Bad Wolves. Bad Wolves opened the show, and to be honest, I didn’t get to see Bad Wolves, unfortunately, was running a bit behind, but from talking to people who were there, they all said they put on a great show. I got there in time for Hollywood Undead to start things off. They were definitely a crowd favorite, their mix of pop, hip hop and rock had the crowd dancing and singing and generally having a great time. They were also promoting their brand new album “Hotel Kalifornia”, which were celebrating the release of the album in Sioux City! Hourglass is the name of their new single and it’s peak Hollywood Undead. They played that, and had fun with the crowd, even doing some covers samples, including Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer, and Johnny Cash if I remember right.. Of course they played their hits as well like Everywhere I go, Comin’ in hot, Riot and more.
After Hollywood Undead.. Falling In Reverse! This was the band I was here to see, nothing against the other bands, I was excited to see Papa Roach too, but I’ve seen them many times, and this was my first Falling In Reverse experience, and they did not disappoint. Kicking things off they played their huge hit Zombified.
The rest of their set was a blistering feast of their best including Fashionably Late, I’m Not A Vampire, Voices In My Head, The Drug In Me Is You, Just Like You, Fuck You And All Your Friends and closed the show out with Popular Monster. Really put an amazing show, the lead singer Ronald Radke held the crowd in the palm of his hand and had them singing and dancing and fighting all throughout their set. Yes there were lots of fights in the crowd, apparently Sioux City can’t handle behaving like human beings during the show, but my son did have fun watching and video taping the fights. watching them back they were just drunk idiots being drunk idiots. On to Papa Roach!!
I’ve seen Papa Roach many times, including on Ozzfest, where I met them for the first time in Sommerset Wisconsin, Last time I saw Papa Roach was 2017, at Rock On The Range, I actually met Jerry and Jacoby there again, and interviewed Jerry. I got an autograph from Jerry but missed out on Jacoby, so when the opportunity to grab an autographed copy of their latest CD came up I jumped at it! Papa Roach came out and played a lot of their hits, including To Be Loved, Getting Away With Murder, Forever, Scars, Born For Greatness, Help, plus they mixed in material off their new album, Ego Trip, an awesome cover of Prodigy’s Firestarter, They also brought up the guys in Hollywood Undead for some fun with their hit “Swerve” as well. They ended the night as expected with Last Resort. All in all had a fantastic time, and look forward to the next time I see a show at Hard Rock Sioux City!
Roger Waters is playing plenty of Pink Floyd music during his ongoing This Is Not a Drill tour — including classics from The Wall ("Comfortably Numb"), Wish You Were Here ("Have a Cigar") and The Dark Side of the Moon ("Money"). He’s also performing a handful of solo songs, among them the newly debuted piano ballad "The Bar." As of this writing, the singer-songwriter hasn’t released a full studio recording of the song, which he told Q1043 New York stretches out to 14 minutes. […]
